JOGA

Gymnastics Beam Routine

The Jersey Optional Gymnastics Association (JOGA) is league of independent gymnastics clubs that compete within the state of New Jersey. JOGA offers girls ages 5-21 the opportunity to compete at a highly competitive level in club gymnastics while still participating in activities outside of gymnastics. The JOGA league follows the same rules as high school gymnastics, thus preparing gymnasts to compete in both club and high school gymnastics.

Many of JOGA gymnasts move on to compete at the college level. JOGA has over 50 member clubs across NJ.

The season culminates in a State Championship where gymnasts compete against other athletes of the same age and competitive level.

Our JOGA competitive program is perfect for athletes who love gymnastics but also want the flexibility to be involved in other sports and activities. We understand how important it is for kids to explore multiple interests, and this program is designed to support that balance while still giving them the opportunity to compete and grow in gymnastics.

The JOGA team competes within New Jersey only, making it a great option for families looking for a more manageable travel schedule. Gymnasts attend practice just two days per week, with each practice lasting approximately 2.5–3 hours providing structure and consistency without overwhelming their schedule.

Our team includes gymnasts ages 7–18, creating a supportive and encouraging environment for a wide range of athletes. Competition seasons are split by level: Levels 5 and 6 compete from October through February, while Levels 1 through 4 and Levels 7 and 8 compete from December through May.

It’s a great way for gymnasts to stay active, build confidence, and be part of a team while still having time for everything else they love.
